Allodynia

Central pain sensitisation following non-painful stimulation.

Allodynia can lead to triggering of a pain response from a stimulation that would not usually provoke pain. When dealing with allodynia, you experience a sensitivity to touch that is so intense, even the slight brush of a finger could cause significant pain. Some may experience a burning sensation, whilst others feel an ache or a squeezing pain.
