Axon

The part of the neuron along which messages travel to be transferred to another part of the body.

Axons are the ‘middle-men’ of the nervous system, conducting impulses from cells to other cells or muscles. Many are covered in myelin (a protective coating around your nerves), which means they could get damaged by MS.
